In the saddle, swaying with the rhythm of your horse is another way to take in the spectacular scenery at a slower pace. It is also a wonderful way to meet the huasos (cowboys), campesinos and Mapuche indigenous villages of the Pucón region. Some common destinations are Liucura and Quelhue. It is also a different way to get to some of the more out-of-the-way natural wonders, like Salto El Claro, Cañi Cordillera and Laguna El Espejo. Some stables arrange not only half-day and full-day excursions, but also multi-day explorations of this land’s hidden treasures.
