Horseback Riding

In the saddle, swaying with the rhythm of your horse is another way to take in the spectacular scenery at a slower pace. It is also a wonderful way to meet the huasos (cowboys), campesinos and Mapuche indigenous villages of the Pucón region. Some common destinations are Liucura and Quelhue. It is also a different way to get to some of the more out-of-the-way natural wonders, like Salto El Claro, Cañi Cordillera and Laguna El Espejo. Some stables arrange not only half-day and full-day excursions, but also multi-day explorations of this land’s hidden treasures.

Horseback ride with Antilco

I went out for a 7 day ride into the Andes, which was probably the best experience of my vacation. First there was a preparation day, they showed us handling tack and we went out for a 4-hour ride. The next day we went of to the mountains. Our group of 5 had 2 guides, Luis a Chilean "arriero" cowboy and Ale a Chilean lady and real cowgirl who spoke English. They took us around snow-capped volcanoes, huge rainforest trees and hot springs in the forest.  All in all this experience was awesome. I liked every moment of it.

Horserides with Antilco - Pucon

This is a great guide, well-organized, friendly and helpful to the less experienced riders, good value.
