When to Go

The rains in Puc贸n know no season. They come at any time of the year, though lessen in between October and March. January and February are the driest months. The hottest month is January, with temperatures averaging 12掳C (54掳F). In July, temperatures drop to 7掳C (45掳F).

 

In the high season (mid-December through February) prices for lodging, food and other services at least double.

 

The biggest event on Puc贸n鈥檚 calendar is the Half-Ironman Triathlon in January. A blur of all sorts of other outdoor sporting competitions 鈥 from swimming to mountain bike racing on Volc谩n Villarrica 鈥 are hosted in the summer months.
