Calle Fresia is restaurant row, especially between the main plaza and O’Higgins. Many diners raise prices during the high season (mid-December through February). Some food delights to keep a taste bud open for in Pucón are the home-made ice creams, Belgian-style chocolates, cheeses and jams made of local wild fruits. Salmon, trout, jabalí (wild boar) and ciervo (venison) are served at up-scale restaurants.
Small produce shops are common in town. The Mercado municipal is mostly just artisan stands, though there is a good fish and seafood shop inside. Centrally-located Supermercado Eltit is the largest supermarket in Pucón (daily 8:30 a.m.-9 p.m. O’Higgins 336).
