Cabanas Los Alerces - Hotel Puerto Varas - Chile

Cabañas los Alerces is one of those places that looks nicer on its webpage then it does in reality. The hotel is decorated in a cute, grandma-like fashion, but looks as if it has seen better days. The restaurant has a nice ambiance, although it is also the way to get to the pool (which is a bit strange, to say the least). The hotel, in addition to its single, double and triple rooms, has small cabins that are good for larger groups. The staff has the tinge of animosity that comes with working with too many visitors. One of the best attributes of Cabañas los Alerces is its close proximity to the lake shore.
