Albergue Latino

Just a five-minute walk from the Plaza de la República is a gaily painted old German manor. This is Albergue Latino, a young backpackers’ guest house on the shore road. Nearby are the Conservatory of Music and other arts departments of the university. Two large dorms share gender-designated baths. There are also private rooms with their own bathrooms. Albergue Latino has all a budget traveler would want, including free use of the kitchen and internet, plus a few additional perks, like the international film library and djembe drum jams in the garden.
