Residencia Río Calle-Calle may be a bit expensive for the true budget traveler, but it is well worth the money. This large inn, located just two blocks from Valdivia’s bus terminal, offers rooms, with either common or private bath. Each accommodation is perfectly color coordinated. Rooms have nice touches, like desks, cable TV, reading lamps and gas heaters. Most are carpeted. In the first floor hall, breakfast and meals are served. If you like, have a nightcap in the small bar before turning in for a tranquil night’s rest.
