The beaches and nearby islands are what brings most travelers to Los Vilos. Playa La Principal and Las Conchas are two of the more popular beaches filled with tourists getting sun tan on the brown sand beaches. Isla de los Huevos is home to a local seabird colony and a few kilometers away is Isla de los Lobos, where there is a colony of seals. Beware of going to Los Vilos during high season as this tiny town gets about 20,000 tourists a year.
