Getting to and away
Ovalle is located 404 kilometers (251 mi) from Santiago, and 30 kilometers (19 mi) east of the Pan-American Highway. There are numerous north-south buses that run many times a day from the city's two bus terminals, Terminal Media Luna, at Ariztia Oriente 760 which goes to Santiago and other northern destinations as well as Terminal Norte Grande located at Maestranza 443. If driving, take the Ruta 5 until the turn off for Ovalle.
