Getting Around: Vicuña
The town of Vicuña consists of no more than a few blocks, so it’s a short walk from almost any hotel or hostel to restaurants, museums and the bus station. From the bus station, companies like Sol de Elquí and Via Elquí send buses constantly to La Serena and deeper into the Elquí Valley. From Vicuña, however, you can’t buy the tourist pass, which lets you get on and off the Elquí Valley-bound buses as you please (passes can only be purchased pass in La Serena).
