Antofagasta is not a spectacular destination for tourist sights but the replica of Britain’s Big Ben is interesting. The Torre Reloj was built in 1910 in the mold of the European piece of architecture. The Museo Regional and the Católica del Norte have some noteworthy items on display. There are good views of the city from Ruinas de Huanchaca and it is possible to view some older trains at the train station - though it is no longer open to the public they can be viewed through the railings.
