Cleanliness is the first impression when entering Hostal Huanta-Jaya. Everything is very neat, very trim, like the gleaming tiled corridor that leads up to the reception desk where the friendly staff await. All rooms have sufficient space, good beds and baths with hot water. Huanta-Jaya doesn’t offer much beyond a place to lay one’s head. Although, the price doesn’t include breakfast, you can ask for hot water to prepare your own food in the dining room. The hostel is a half-block from the pedestrian portion of 21 de Mayo, and away from car traffic.
