

On the platform of the old Arica-La Paz station is a fine dining experience to be had while waiting for the train to come in. Supreme Chilean food from land and sea grace Restaurant El Andén’s menu. The gastronomic journey begins with a tray of appetizers, the next stop is the main course and the meal ends with a tray of desserts. Drinks, whether aperitifs, wine or other drink, are extra. The patio dining area is surrounded by a steam engine, handcarts and other remnants of the rail line. Lunch specials $7-8. Open daily 1-3 p.m.
