The pedestrian malls (paseo peatonal) Bolognesi and Thompson are lined with small kiosks selling clothing, jewelry, woodworking, musical instruments and other artisan work, as well as toys, books and CDs. The Feria Internacional Máximo Lira next to the Arica-Tacna train station specializes in Peruvian and Bolivian woolens and artesanía. Casa de Deportes El Gallo stocks sleeping bags, insulation pads and some camping gear, but no tents (Monday-Friday 9:30 a.m.-2 p.m., 5-9:30 p.m., Saturday 9:30 a.m.-2 p.m., 6-9:30 p.m. Lynch 450, Tel.: 23-2062).
