Travelers with any kind of budget will find a place to stay in Iquique. The city even has marina hotels for those arriving in their own yacht. International chain hotels, like Radisson and Holiday Inn provide accommodations here. Budget travelers should know that, in general, rooms with shared baths cost up to $16 per person and those with private bath from $24. Many cheap and low-mid-range hostels are located near the market. Some of these are hotels de mala muerte (or basic dives). Others, especially east of the market along Martínez, are okay. Hotel prices begin to rise at the end of October and remain high through March. Also expect to pay more during national holidays.
