The Norte Grande is the second most popular tourist destination in Chile—and for good reason. You will never be bored here. The beaches to the west are great for sunbathing, paragliding or surfing. Visit markets, museums, churches, observatories and indigenous ruins or go on an adventure and try to hike a volcano. Visitors should also check out the ancient geoglyphs, the Geysers of Tatio and the Valle de la Luna (the land of the moon!).
