Casa Aventura has become famous as a hotspot in Valparaíso for hostellers. Tucked inside an ally leading into the labyrinth-like hills of Valparaíso, it’s no wonder this place has developed such a following. The hostel, run by a Chilean-German couple, is located in a converted century-old house. Its relatively small size makes it easy to get to know fellow travelers, and you’ll hear backpackerss up and down the country recommending Casa Aventura’s hearty breakfast. But book in advance as you may be out of luck if you show up in high season unannounced.

Getting There:
From bus station, take a bus to “Aduana” and get off when you see the shell gas station. Go three blocks up Calle Urriola to your left and then turn left at Pasaje Galvez. The tucked away door to your left halfway up the stairs is Casa Aventura.
