Cra 6 No 34-70
Chapinero, Bogotá, Colombia
Hostel
The owners of the El Cafecito brand (with branches in Quito and Cuenca, Ecuador) have opened the newest addition to Bogota's growing list of fine hostals. One block from the Parque Nacional, 20 minutes walk from the Candelaria, and perhaps 10 minutes from the Macarena, El Cafecito is setting the pace. The location is a beautifully restored Bogota townhouse with large rooms, wooden floors, an ample garden, and a downstairs cafe and bar that can sleep a maximum of 40 people. Most rooms are dormitories, but the hostal also has one double room and one private room. Since the only neighbors are office buildings, there is no problem should your BBQ or party in the garden in the evening get a little raucous...who'll complain!?
