Originally used as the seat of the Colegio Máximo de la CompañÃa de Jesús en la Nueva Granada in the latter half of the 17th Century, this Spanish colonial-styled building was converted into a museum in the 1940s. Visitors will not leave unimpressed, as a renovation to the building in the late 1990s brought the place up to standard. The museum houses unforgettable works by Vasquez and Figeroa and portraits of key players in the colonial period. There are also the ubiquitous antiquities and furniture from the colonial era on display as well.
