For anyone interested in art, this museum has to be at the very top of the list of things to do in Bogotá. There are two sections to the Museo Donación Botero, the first dedicated to the famous Colombian artist Fernando Botero. In this wing the museum shows 123 examples of Botero's work. For those not familiar with Botero, (who donated many of his own private pieces to the Museum hence the name), he is the Paisa who in the words of most Colombians "paints fat people." The second section of the museum displays 85 works by internationally renowned artists from the 19th century, such as Renoir, Chagall, Picasso, Bacon and Moore.
