Hotel Dorado is undoubtedly the least expensive hostel in the center of Bogotá, between the Candelaria district and downtown. The rooms are basic, if a bit small, with extra furnishings -a closet, table and chair. Most of the quarters have windows. The headless showers spew hot water. Those rooms on the terrace have beautiful views over the city and of Montserrate, but share a common bath. Hotel Dorado, however, has earned a poor reputation with Japanese journeyers, who claim the inn has security problems.
