Color de Hormiga proclaims itself as Comida Atípica —that is precisely what you’ll find here. Much of its menu is prepared with a regional delicacy: hormigas culonas (fat-bottomed ants). Try the beef tenderloin in ant sauce or, if you’re not such the adventurous sort, in a bleu cheese sauce ($8.50). Color de Hormiga also presents beef shish kabob and a few chicken platters. To accompany your meal, choose a fresh fruit juice, beer or wine ($16 per bottle). Pull up a table on the covered patio after taking a dip in the pool, then dive into one of these unforgettable dishes. Open daily noon-4 p.m., longer hours at holiday times.
