In the principal sala are exhibited the belongings he left behind - as well as the mantilla and comb of a woman who had danced with him. Better said, the Casa de BolÃvar is the home of the History Academy of Santander, displaying other interesting things of the Department's history. Among them is an excellent collection of indigenous Guane textiles. On the back patio are explanations and artifacts of the Battle of Palonegro, the last and bloodiest battle of the 1000-Day War.
