Getting around
If traveling with your own vehicle, be aware of no-drive days that correspond to your plates' last digit.
Bucaramanga has good public transportation that runs not only throughout the city, but also connects to the neighboring towns of Floridablanca, Girón and Piedecuesta. If staying in the center, most buses pass Parque de Santos (Carrera 22 and Calle 31). In-city taxis are metered. Metrolínea, a new mass transit system like Bogotá’s Transmilenio, is under construction.
