Govindas

Govindas is an Indian vegetarian delight, brought courtesy of the Hare Krishnas. For a healthy, flavorful lunch pull up a table in one of the three rooms and relax to ragas softly playing. Soon your three-course almuerzo will be served: soup and multi-grain bread, the main course with drink, then an herbal tea and dessert ($2.20). During non-mid-day hours, there's veggie fast food. Adjoining shops sell incense, literature and other items. The bakery has soy cheese, meat, milk and yogurt, as well as natural grain breads, granola and flours. You're sure to leave with your stomach chanting the names of the Lord. Open Monday-Saturday 9 a.m.-7:30 p.m.
