By Lorraine Caputo

If you’re craving some of grandma’s ccoking hot off the stove, even if it’s the middle of the night, then head over to her kitchen. La Cocina de la abuela prepares Colombian culinary classics, like carne oreada (dried beef cooked in beer) and cabro con pipitoria (goat with a side of rice prepared with finely chopped goat viscera and blood). Lunchtime is busy—and for good reason. Grandma serves up huge portions in this four-course affair (appetizer, soup, entrée and dessert) ($2.65). Grandpa gets into the action too, firing up his grill a few doors down at La Parrilla del Abuelo. Open daily around the clock.
