Now that you have had your taste of US culture, it’s time to have a real Colombian shopping experience. Head to Plaza Central, Bucaramanga’s municipal market which is said to be the largest in Colombia. Enter at Calle 34 and grab a shopping cart to begin exploring this crazy world of Colombia’s answer to the mall. These four floors are the best of Colombia’s products and produce.

The first story is where to pick up vegetables and get your watch repaired. Up the ramp to the second level are fruits, juice bars, bakeries, spices and eggs. Third floor is the cheese and meat department. Lastly the fourth level is where you’ll find hats, drinking gourds, hammocks, basketry and other artesanía for your trip or gifts. Need colored candles, incenses, soaps or essential oils for your spiritual needs? You get them here, also. Now for some refueling at the food court (including a vegetarian restaurant) with a great view over the crags surrounding the city.
