On the banks of the Río Frío is the Jardín Botánico Eloy Valenzuela. Paths wind through its nine, lake-dotted hectares ablaze with mini-gardens of orchids, bamboos, palms, aquatic plants, medicinal herbs and other flora. There is even a Japanese meditation garden—a perfect place to do a session of aikido or tai chi. Keep an eye out for the red and black squirrels, birds (including ducks and woodpeckers) and turtles that make this parcel their abode. The serenity of the Jardín Botánico Eloy Valenzuela is refreshing.
