Capitanejo has no central bus terminal. Most of the transport company offices are on Carrera 4. All departures times are approximate, as the buses are de paso, or passing through.
To El Cocuy / Güicán (buses first go to El Cocuy, then Güicán): Coflonorte / Libertadores—every other day 2 a.m. $5.30 / $6.35, 4 / 5 hours. Expreso Paz del Río/Gacela—every other day 3 a.m., 2 p.m., $6.35 either village, 3.5 / 4.5 hours. Concorde—daily 3 a.m., 3:30 p.m., $6.35 either, 3 / 4 hours.
To Bogotá, by way of Tunja: Coflobnorte / Libertadores—every other day 10 p.m., $16, 7-8 hours. Cotrans—6 a.m., 8 p.m., 9:30 p.m., $19.20, 7 hours. Concorde—8 departures 3 a.m.-9 p.m., $17, 7-8 hours. Expreso Paz del Río/Gacela—8 a.m., 9 a.m., $16, 10 hours.
To Bucaramanga: Copetrán—4:30 a.m., $19.70, 6.5 hours. Cotrans—3 a.m., 10 a.m., $19.20, 7 hours.
To Cúcuta, by way of Pamplona: Cotrans—5 departures 3 a.m.-9 p.m., $19.20, 7 hours. Concorde—8:30 p.m., 10:30 p.m., $17.60, 7 hours.
To Yopal (Casanare): Concorde—1 a.m., $17, 7 hours.
