A member of the Spanish Celuisma hotel chain, Hotel Bolívar is probably the smartest place you can stay in Cúcuta. This inn was built with a Mediterranean architecture and it has three swimming pools set within a tropical garden. All 127 tile-floored rooms are very spacious and have air conditioning, satellite TV, a mini-bar, sitting area and internet. Prices include a buffet breakfast.

Hotel Bolívar is located in one of the city’s most important commercial zones, only 15 minutes from the airport. With its easy access to the road to the border and security, this makes it a good choice for those traveling in their own vehicle.

Our stay was extended to almost four weeks. We enjoyed the hotel, the staff, and the children especially enjoyed the pool. We highly recommend this hotel. Our only complaint is that laundry service in the hotel are extremely expensive, but we needed clean clothes. We took to washing most of our clothes in the shower and hanging them to dry.
