Shopping

By Lorraine Caputo

Artesanía Colombia is another family workshop, this one concentrating on making wooden household items: boxes, napkin holders, toilet paper dispensers and what-not. It also carries artesanía from other parts of the country, like those fiber sandals and hats from Soatá, a village near Capitanejo. There’s even pottery from Ráquira and ceramic chiva buses from the Tunja area. If the doors are closed, just give a knock—the family lives behind the shop.
