Getting to and away from Málaga

Málaga has no city bus system and local taxis are virtually non-existent. There is no central bus terminal.

To Capitanejo: Copetrán—1 p.m., $2.65, 1 hour. For more departure times, see under Bogotá. Also, shared taxis leave when full from the corner of Carrera 8 and Calle 12, on Parque García Rovira.

To Capitanejo / Bogotá: Cotrans—3 a.m., 5 a.m., 8 a.m., 6:30 p.m., 8 p.m., 9 p.m., 11 p.m., $2.65 / $23.65, 1 hour / 9 hours To Pamplona / Cúcuta: Cotrans—4 a.m., 6 a.m., 10 a.m., hourly 9-11 p.m., $12.60 / $17.60, 5 / 7 hours. Concorde—11 p.m., $13.25 / 17.60, 5 / 7hours.

To Bucaramanga: Copetrán—4 a.m., 6 a.m., 10 a.m., 1:30 p.m., 3:30 p.m., $18.65, 6-7 hours.

Cotrans—2 a.m., 4:30 a.m., 8 a.m., noon, 2 p.m., 5 p.m., $18.65, 7 hours.

Cotrans—Carrera 9 14A-09 Air Travel Málaga’s airport, Aeropuerto Jerónimo de Aguayo, is one kilometre from town. Región Air is the only carrier, with flights once or twice a week to Bucaramanga ($80, 25 minutes).
