
La Esperanza brings a hungry traveler’s stomach the best in typical Santandereano food, most fresh from local farms: trout, other fishes and seafoods ($8-18.50), chicken ($4.75-7.40) and meats, including cabro with pipitoria ($5.80-9.25). There are even sampler platters, if you don’t quite know what to order ($8-9.25). Main dishes come with salad, yucca, potatoes and dessert. La Esperanza also serves breakfast ($2.10-3.20) and luncheon specials ($3.20-4.75). On the drink list is not only the usual alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, but also Colombian wine. Open Monday-Saturday 7 a.m.-9 p.m., Sunday 9 a.m.-3 p.m., holidays 7 a.m.-3 p.m.
