Adexpegar—Asociación para la Promoción y Práctica de los Deportes Extremos y de Aventura del Nororiente Colombian—is a relatively new company formed by SENA students. The only tour operator in Málaga, Adexpegar specializes in adventure sports: rapelling, torrentismo (rappelling in waterfalls; $3.20, all equipment provided), canotaje (rafting) on the Río Chicamocha (from Málaga $18.65; from Capitanejo, on the river, $10.50). They also provide other adventures—but only for those aged 14 to 50. Excursions are guaranteed on weekends; during the week, only when groups of 10 or more are interested.
