In the courtyard of the Hare Krishna-run Hostal Santa Clara in the fourth chakra of Pamplona is Restaurante Govinda, providing this town with well-prepared, nutritious vegetarian food—as is the Hare Krishna tradition. Good soups, good main dish and fresh fruit juice—all a colorful ensemble for your physical and spiritual selves. Some times the “meat” is soya, others it is gluten. The price of the comida corriente is just right for the poor student or budget traveler: $1.60. Open 7 a.m.-10 p.m. when the university students are in town; out of term, open only for lunch noon-2 p.m.
