Tour Operator
On weekends you can join the Corporación de Turismo de Pamplona’s several tours to explore the richness of near-by villages. How about a day in Silos, visiting indigenous tombs, dipping into thermal pools and shopping for a new poncho ? Or to Cácota to pick up on some ceramics and to canoe across the Laguna de Cácota ? You can also drop a fishing line into Laguna del Salado, spend a while in the Casa de Bolívar and snack on cheese, cakes and peaches while in Chitagá. The Corporación de Turismo de Pamplona also has outings to Mutiscua and Pamplonita. All trips include transportation and lunch, and most a guide, at very reasonable prices ($8-18.65 per person, depending on excursion destination).
