On weekends you can join the Corporación de Turismo de Pamplona’s several tours to explore the richness of near-by villages. How about a day in Silos, visiting indigenous tombs, dipping into thermal pools and shopping for a new poncho ? Or to Cácota to pick up on some ceramics and to canoe across the Laguna de Cácota ? You can also drop a fishing line into Laguna del Salado, spend a while in the Casa de Bolívar and snack on cheese, cakes and peaches while in Chitagá. The Corporación de Turismo de Pamplona also has outings to Mutiscua and Pamplonita.
