Tejidos Katly sells a good selection of ruanas the short wool ponchos that just about everyone wears in El Cocuy, including men, women, boys and girls of every age.
To pick up on one before venturing into the cold hinterlands of PNN El Cocuy, head to this shop. All Tejidos Katly’s ruanas are made of natural-colored virgin wool and prices start at $10.
Tejidos Katly sells plenty more to keep warm, including jackets, ski masks, gloves and socks. Margarita Correño will be happy to take a break from her knitting to help you suit up. If the shop isn’t open, ring up Doña Margarita.
