By Lorraine Caputo

Cabaña-style hotels are concentrated in three areas of the park: Alto de la Cueva (Las Lagunillas), where Cabañas Guaicany and the inns of the Herrera (Miguel and Alejandro) brothers are; La Esperanza (La Capilla); and Ritaku'was, featuring Kabañas Kanwara, Cabañas Peñas Bñancas and Posada Sierra Nevada. The majority do not have heating or chimneys. Many have campsites. Reservationas must be made December-January and June-July.

Camping is also possible within the park at several official campsites: El Hotelito, Laguna de la Plaza, Laguna Grande de la Sierra, Laguna de Panuelo, Laguna de los Verdes and other places. A tent with a good rain fly and a -10ºC (12ºF) sleeping bag with insulation sleep pad are essential.
