Any night of the week, you can join sangileños and Colombians in sitting out front shops for a beer (or something stronger). The most popular places are along Parque la Libertad. Nightclubs and karaoke joints within the city are required, by law, to close at 1 a.m. No such restrictions hold for those outside the city limits; these businesses are open weekends until day break or when the rumba fizzles, whichever comes first. If heading for the out-of-town hotspots, be sure to keep some money back for the cab fare home.
