The main public hospital in San Gil is Hospital Regional San Juan de Dios (Carrera 5 9-102, Tel: 7-723-5513, 723-5549). The private Clínica Santa Cruz de la Loma is recommended; an English-speaking doctor is available for emergency cases (Calle 12 12-20, Tel: 7-724-2100). Pharmacies can be found everywhere in the mid-town area, about one every block; Carrera 11 has a number between Calles 10 and 13.
