Several banks in San Gil have ATMs. Bancolombia has the highest withdrawal limit, $400; it accepts MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Cirrus (Calle 12 10-44). ATH, or multi-network ATMs, also take Plus cards; you can find these at Mega Banco / Banco de Bogotá (Carrera 9 11-56) and Banco Popular (Calle 13 10-34). There is no official place to exchange travelers cheques or cash dollars. The local Western Union branch in Banco Colmena performs transactions only for Colombians (Monday-Friday 8-11:30 a.m., 2-4 p.m. Corner Carrera 10 with Calle 12, Parque la Libertad).
