When to go
The weather in San Gil is pretty much the same all year long; there is no real rainy season as in other parts of the country. Temperatures average 25°C (77°F). It is very popular with vacationing Colombians, especially during December-January holidays, Semana Santa (Easter week), July-August holidays and three-day weekends (puentes). Hotel prices rise substantially at these times and reservations are necessary.
