Tunja has a fine network of city buses; fare is $0.40 ($0.45 Sunday and holidays).
The bus terminal is at Carrera 7 and Calle 17. There are two levels: from the lower leave buses for distant cities; from the upper, for Villa de Leyva and other neighboring villages.
To Villa de Leyva: Half-hourly 6 a.m.-6 p.m., $2.40, 45 minutes.
To Puente de Boyacá: Half-hourly 6 a.m.-6 p.m ., $1.30, 20 minutes.
To Paipa: Every 10 minutes, $2.60, 30 minutes.
To Bogotá: Rápido Duitama, Copetrán and Libertadores provide service every 10-15 minutes, 2 a.m.-midnight, $6.85, 2 hours.
To Málaga: Concorde—8 a.m., 11 p.m., $15.80, 8 hours.
To Güicán: Concorde—10 a.m., 10 p.m., $18.40, 10 hours.
To San Gil & Bucaramanga: Copetrán—hourly 9 a.m.-11 p.m., $25.25, 6 hours.
To Cúcuta: Concorde—4 p.m., $31.60, 12 hours. Copetrán—9 a.m., 6 p.m., 8 p.m., 10 p.m., 11:30 p.m., $31.60, 12 hours.
To Santa Marta: Copetrán—12:30 p.m., $58, 18-20 hours.
To Cartegena: Copetrán—12:30 p.m. $68.50, 22 hours.
To Riohacha: Copetrán—1 p.m., 3 p.m., 11 p.m ., $68.50, 20-22 hours.
