On a corner plaza guarded by the Monkey in his fountain is one of Tunja's finest dining establishments, Restaurante Pila del Mono. Take a seat at one of the linen-clothes tables with linen napkins tucked into the water goblets. Soon one of the attentive waiters will be with you. The menu offers a variety or Boyancense dishes. So, what will it be this eve? One of the meat dishes--beef, pork or chicken ($6.35-9.50)? Perhaps fish or seafood, hmm, that seafood grill sure looks inviting ($6.90-$15.25)? These all come with rice and / or potatoes and salad. For something a bit less expensive, there are the pastas, which come accompanied with garlic bread and salad ($3.70-6.35). Open Monday-Saturday 10 a.m.-10 p.m., Sunday and Holidays 11:30 a.m.-4 p.m.
