Whereas a common complaint about campgrounds in Villa de Leyva is that they merely warehouse people, experienced outdoorspersons say Camping San Jorge is said to be the best in Villa de Leyva, with proper facilities. These grounds have good-sized sites, bathhouses with hot showers, fire pits and a place to wash your dishes after your meal. Private security and parking are other pluses. Besides camping, San Jorge offers a two-bedroom apartment for six persons with private bath, cable TV, dining nook and kitchenette.
