Travel Tips Types:
Climate, peak seasons

By Lorraine Caputo

Villa de Leyva enjoys a dry climate, with temperatures averaging 18°C (65°F). The days can get quite warm. The evenings are chilly. January and February are the driest months of the year; October is the wettest.

Thanks to its close proximity to Bogotá, Villa de Leyva is a popular destination for Colombians at holiday times and weekends. During the high seasons, expect significantly higher prices and a lot more people—as well as longer hours at the restaurants.
