Walking into M. Manos Mujeres, M. Women’s Hands, you are blasted with color and novelty. Within this space, a collective of 20 women from eight families bring together their handiwork. Through the sales of these cards, hand-made paper, jewelry, batiks and weavings, they are supporting their families with their imaginations and long-hidden skills. One home-distills floral essences, lotions and oils. Some even delve into the arts that for women are non-traditional, like woodworking and sculpture. Also for sale at very reasonable prices are original watercolors.
