The Banco de la República features concerts and exhibits (Carrera 32 37-67). Many parks scatter the city like emeralds, as well as statues saluting llano culture and way of life. One especially spectacular one is Monumento a las Arpas: three gigantic harps (10 m high by 7 m wide), each with 32 strings of water—2 km along Ruta del Piedemonte, at the turn-off for the airport).
Several tourist routes radiate from Villavicencio. Along these are quaint villages, hot springs and other glimpses of the llanos. You can go horseback riding, hiking, bird watching, white water rafting and on wildlife tours.
