This hostel is the best find in town and just steps from the main plaza. Most tourists don’t know about this place because it is not in the direction you would think hotels to be. Upon arrival in the plaza, instead of heading back through town from whence you came, head down the hill half a block on Calle 6, where you will find this cute white hostel with blue trim on the left. Elsa, the owner, resident, and local expert, is a really sweet lady who will make you feel right at home. Currently, her house has four bright, airy rooms — each with cable T.V. and a private bath. The room next to the kitchen has a nice balcony looking over the countryside. Elsa will cook breakfast for you for $2.50 extra, or you are free to use the kitchen. The house is made complete by a cute dining room and sitting area.
