Pan Pan is just one of the many panaderías that whip up much more then just breads and cakes. It also presents you with a comida corriente (blue-plate special)--a hearty soup to start with, followed by a main dish of your choice of meat, rice, beans, salad and patacones, washed down with a fresh fruit drink—for only $2-2.50 (slightly higher on Sundays). Be sure to grab a cookie right out of the oven on your way out for dessert. Pan Pan also serves breakfasts for $1.60. Open Monday-Saturday 7 a.m.-9 p.m., Sunday 8 a.m.-7 p.m.
